Brindle Great Dane
Brindle Great Danes are known for their distinctive striped coats. Dark striping over a warm fawn or golden background gives the coat its recognizable appearance and makes each dog's pattern unique.
What Does a Brindle Great Dane Look Like?
Brindle Great Danes generally have a warm fawn or golden base coat crossed by darker stripes. The width, spacing and intensity of those stripes can vary among individual dogs.
This striped pattern is sometimes described as tiger-like because the darker markings run across the lighter base coat.
Brindle Great Dane Coat
Like other Great Danes, the Brindle Great Dane has a short, smooth coat. Routine brushing can help remove loose hair and maintain the coat's clean, healthy appearance.
Brindle Great Dane Temperament
Brindle coloring does not determine temperament. Personality is influenced by genetics, environment, socialization, training and the individual dog.
Because Great Dane puppies grow rapidly, early obedience training and appropriate socialization are particularly valuable.

Is a Brindle Great Dane Right for You?
A Brindle Great Dane requires the same long-term preparation as every other Great Dane. Puppies grow rapidly and eventually become very large adult companions.
Families should prepare for appropriate nutrition, training, socialization, veterinary care and the everyday practical needs of a giant-breed dog.
