Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions provide general rules for using the Mainely Danes website and important information concerning puppy listings, reservations, payments, pickup, delivery and related website communications.

Individual puppy transactions may also be subject to a separate written purchase, reservation or health agreement.

Puppy Availability Availability can change until a reservation is confirmed.

$400 Reservation Current reservation deposit for available puppies.

2-Year Guarantee Subject to the written health guarantee terms.

U.S. Placement Local pickup and available delivery across all 50 states.

1. Website Use

The Mainely Danes website is provided to share information about our Great Danes, available puppies, breeding program, policies and related services.

Users should use the website lawfully and should not attempt to interfere with its operation, security or availability.

2. Website Information

Mainely Danes aims to keep puppy listings, prices, availability and informational content reasonably current.

Because puppy availability, age, scheduling and other circumstances can change, users should confirm transaction-specific information before making a payment or finalizing arrangements.

3. Puppy Availability

A puppy displayed as available may receive inquiries or reservation requests from more than one prospective buyer.

A Form Submission Does Not Reserve a Puppy

A puppy is not considered reserved simply because a Reserve, Buy Now, Contact or Inquiry form has been submitted.

Reservation status is confirmed after the applicable reservation/payment requirement has been received and accepted.

4. Puppy Pricing

Each available puppy's current price is displayed on the applicable puppy profile.

Mainely Danes' current listed puppy prices range from $800 to $1,200, although future puppy pricing may change.

Transportation and delivery charges are separate from the puppy purchase price unless specifically stated otherwise.

5. Puppy Reservations

The current reservation deposit is $400.

A reservation becomes effective after the applicable payment has been confirmed and the reservation has been accepted by Mainely Danes.

Reservation deposits are subject to the separate Reservation & Refund Policy .

Current payment preferences may include:

Apple Pay
Chime
Venmo
Cash App
Credit Card
Zelle
Other mutually agreed alternatives

Mainely Danes currently offers a 5% discount for qualifying Chime payments. Buyers should confirm the final amount before sending payment.

Selecting a preferred payment method in a website form does not itself process a payment.

Buyers should use payment instructions confirmed directly for their transaction and should verify transaction details before submitting funds.

7. Puppy Health & Health Guarantee

Mainely Danes represents its puppies as receiving appropriate care before placement, including applicable veterinary checks, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.

Puppies are provided with applicable health records and a written 2-year health guarantee, subject to the complete conditions contained in the applicable guarantee or puppy agreement.

8. AKC Registration

Mainely Danes represents its currently listed puppies as AKC registered and provides applicable registration paperwork with the puppy.

Registration terms, including any applicable breeding rights, should be confirmed for the individual puppy before purchase.

9. Local Pickup

Local pickup is available in Chula Vista, California by confirmed appointment only.

Mainely Danes does not accept unannounced walk-ins.

A reservation/payment arrangement must be established before a pickup appointment is scheduled.

10. Shipping & Delivery

Available puppy transportation options currently include:

Delivery Van — $300
Air / Flight Nanny — $450
Express Air Delivery — $500

Mainely Danes serves families throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii. International puppy shipping is not offered.

Delivery is subject to availability, scheduling, puppy readiness, route availability and applicable transportation requirements.

11. Buyer Responsibilities

Prospective puppy owners are responsible for reviewing the information provided for the puppy and asking questions before completing the transaction.

Buyers are also responsible for:

Providing accurate contact information.
Confirming the correct puppy name and Puppy ID.
Reviewing the applicable puppy agreement.
Confirming payment details before submitting funds.
Making appropriate preparations for a large-breed puppy.
Following agreed pickup or delivery arrangements.
Providing appropriate ongoing veterinary care after receiving the puppy.

12. Puppy Development

Great Danes are living animals, and individual development can vary.

Adult size, weight, appearance, temperament, ear carriage, eye appearance and other characteristics can be influenced by genetics, environment, nutrition, health and development.

Descriptions of anticipated characteristics should not be interpreted as guarantees of exact adult size, appearance or temperament unless specifically stated in a written agreement.

13. Website Content

Unless otherwise indicated, original text, branding, layout and other website content created for Mainely Danes may not be copied, republished or commercially redistributed without permission.

Third-party trademarks, registration marks, organization names and logos remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Website Availability & Limitations

Mainely Danes may update, modify or temporarily discontinue website content or functionality when reasonably necessary.

Website availability can also be affected by hosting providers, internet services, maintenance or circumstances outside the control of Mainely Danes.

General educational information on the website is not a substitute for advice from a licensed veterinarian regarding an individual dog's medical needs.

15. Separate Written Agreements

An individual puppy transaction may include a separate reservation agreement, purchase agreement, health guarantee or other written terms.

Where a signed transaction-specific agreement contains more specific terms concerning that transaction, those specific terms should be reviewed together with these general website terms.
