Shipping & Delivery Policy

Mainely Danes offers local pickup in Chula Vista, California and available puppy delivery options throughout the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

This policy explains our current delivery methods, fees, appointment requirements and responsibilities associated with transporting a Great Dane puppy.

Ground delivery option. Buyer supplies the required crate.

1. U.S. Delivery Coverage

Mainely Danes offers available delivery arrangements for puppies going to families throughout the United States.

Our stated service area includes all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii, subject to transportation availability, puppy readiness and applicable travel requirements.

United States Only

Mainely Danes does not currently offer international puppy shipping.

2. Local Pickup

Local pickup is available in Chula Vista, California.

Pickup is by confirmed appointment only. Mainely Danes does not accept unannounced walk-ins.

A reservation/payment arrangement must be confirmed before a pickup appointment can be scheduled.

Detailed meeting or pickup instructions are provided directly to the buyer after the appointment has been confirmed.

3. Delivery Van

Ground Delivery

$300

The current Delivery Van option is priced at $300.

A travel crate is not included with this delivery option. The buyer is responsible for supplying an appropriate crate when required for the agreed transportation arrangement.

Delivery timing depends on destination, scheduling, route availability and the individual puppy's readiness to travel.

4. Air / Flight Nanny Delivery

Air / Flight Nanny

$450

The current Air / Flight Nanny delivery option is priced at $450.

The exact transportation arrangement depends on destination, available routes, scheduling and the travel arrangement confirmed with the buyer.

Mainely Danes will communicate applicable pickup or meeting instructions after the transportation arrangement has been confirmed.

5. Express Air Delivery

Express Air

$500

The current Express Air Delivery option is priced at $500.

This option is intended for direct-flight focused transportation when suitable routing and scheduling are available.

A travel crate is included with the Express Air Delivery option.

Same-day transportation may be possible depending on confirmed payment, appointment timing, route availability and transportation scheduling.

Same-day arrival is not guaranteed unless a specific itinerary has been confirmed for the individual transaction.

6. Delivery Scheduling

Delivery is scheduled after the applicable puppy reservation, payment arrangements and transportation details have been confirmed.

Scheduling may depend on:

Puppy age and readiness
Health and travel readiness
Destination
Transportation availability
Route availability
Weather conditions
Confirmed payment
Buyer availability

Buyers should not make non-refundable travel arrangements until the applicable pickup or delivery schedule has been confirmed.

7. Puppy Records & Documents

Applicable puppy documentation travels with the puppy or is supplied to the buyer as part of the completed puppy transaction.

Depending on the individual puppy and transaction, documentation may include:

Vaccination information
Deworming information
Health documentation or certificate
AKC registration paperwork
Puppy identification information
Applicable purchase/health agreement

8. Transportation Delays

Transportation schedules can sometimes change because of circumstances outside the control of Mainely Danes.

Possible causes may include weather, transportation-provider changes, route availability, safety considerations or other unforeseen scheduling issues.

If a confirmed transportation schedule changes, Mainely Danes will work with the buyer to communicate the updated arrangement when information becomes available.

Puppy Safety Comes First

A transportation arrangement may be postponed or adjusted when proceeding would not be appropriate for the puppy or when the scheduled transportation method is unavailable.

9. Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are separate from the puppy's listed purchase price unless the buyer receives a written agreement stating otherwise.

Current standard website-listed options are:

Delivery Van — $300
Air / Flight Nanny — $450
Express Air Delivery — $500

The applicable fee and transportation method should be confirmed before payment.

10. Buyer Responsibilities

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate contact and delivery information and being available according to the confirmed pickup or delivery arrangement.

Buyers should promptly notify Mainely Danes if their contact information, destination or availability changes before transportation.

For the Delivery Van option, the buyer is responsible for providing the required crate when applicable.

11. No International Shipping

Mainely Danes currently places and delivers puppies within the United States only.

We do not currently offer international puppy shipping.
